The Planning and Development Institute (PDI), established under Decision No. 752/QĐ-LHHVN (12 July 2019) and operating within the Vietnam Union of Scientific and Technological Associations (VUSTA), is committed to shaping Vietnam’s long-term socio-economic trajectory.

Mr. Dang Huy Dong is one of Vietnam's most respected policy thinkers, with nearly four decades of leadership across central government and Party institutions. His career spans national planning, institutional reform, investment governance, and long-term policy design.
Renowned for his strategic clarity and execution experience, Mr. Dong brings a unique combination of policy vision, on-the-ground understanding of Vietnam's governance system, and deep multi-agency networks. These strengths position PDI as a trusted partner capable of bridging strategy with practical implementation.
As Founder and President, he guides PDI with a mission focused on national resilience, sustainable development, and evidence-based policy-making.
